General information

Our approach to the project

The house was designed as an artist's studio, where he spends his creative moments. The main idea is a glass-walled art studio set on a brick wall, which is a matrix for Banksy's work. The house was designed on a hill, which allowed passersby for observing the mural he created.

More than just a project

Banksy's house is a home and atelier for a street graffiti artist. The house is divided into two parts: the "sacred" and the "profane" with a brick wall in between. The profane part on the south side is the studio. The curtain wall of the studio allows Banksy and neighbors passing by to enjoy the view of his art. The sacred part on the north side is the private part of the house, which includes: an open mezzanine, access to the balcony and access to the green roof. Banksy is passionate about: climbing, parkour and calisthenics. The climbing wall in his studio gives him direct access to the bedroom on the mezzanine. From the mezzanine, a suspended staircase leads him to the green roof. The green roof has a skylight and stainless steel balustrades around it.
